In partnership with our client who is a leading global retailer, we have an immediate and exciting opportunity for a Junior Analyst who will be working as part of the Profit Protection and Fraud department. This is a unique role where the main purpose is to examine, analyse and identify any unusual patterns and trends across various data systems, whilst updating and analysing reporting rules and reporting systems using the relevant software available in order to prevent and detect loss to the business.
Key elements of the role will include:
On a day to day basis, to be responsible for the analysis of intelligence gathered from all internal departments.
Development of intelligence products to be used for briefings and assessments.
Attending and participating in relevant business meetings and Industry forums.
Review and seek opportunities for continuous business improvement in processes and methodologies.
Develop daily, weekly, monthly reports for each fascia via the case management system.
Reporting on figures and statistics – analysing and spotting trends and patterns to help prevent and reduce loss.
Liaise with investigation teams to provide information and data where requested and applicable.
Build and maintain KPI Dashboards
Skills and qualifications will include:
Skilled in relevant software (Excel – use of formulae, Word, PowerPoint and other packages.
Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness, accuracy and highly numerate
Good capability levels in analysis and interpretation of data, being able to draw succinct and meaningful conclusions.
Strong communication skills with confidence to challenge business processes and information. Ability to effectively plan and organise work in order to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to interpret and evaluate multi-source information
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to provide commentary and report summaries to a wide audience are vital.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience and development in an analytical role. Although previous experience in a similar role would be desirable, it is not essential.
