Prosecco Cricket – Popular Women’s Soft Ball Cricket Festival Back in the Borough of Rochdale at Heywood Cricket Club, 6.00pm -9.00pm

The festival has been created to get more women involved in the game of cricket. No pain, all gain! Soft Ball Cricket is a new, fun, fast, social game for all abilities featuring a, you guessed it, soft ball.

Merchant Day Flag Raising, 10.00am, Rochdale Town Hall

Merchant Navy Day has been commemorated since 2000, but only for the past two years has it been the focus of our nationwide campaign to raise public awareness of our reliance on seafarers and shipping.

Live Band: Noasis, 8pm - 4am, Empire Rochdale

Free live concert @ Empire Rochdale. Plus Guest Host DJ: Dave Sweetmore (Revolution Radio) The Nation’s Favourite Oasis Tribute Band.

Teddy's Picnic Puzzle, 2pm - 4pm, Littleborough Library

Follow the clues to help Teddy find out where to meet his friends for the Teddy Bear's Picnic.

Open day at GMFRS Bury Training and Safety Centre, 11.00am - 4.00pm

A great experience to see first-hand what being a firefighter is like, with real life scenarios to try out. The open day will have tours taking place throughout the day, firefighting demonstrations and emergency service vehicles.

Littleborough Lacemakers Exhibitions and Demonstrations, Monday - Saturday 11.00am - 4.00pm; Sunday 12.00pm - 3.00pm

Exhibitions are generally mounted in the Heritage Centre and Victoria Room. Most items on display are available to purchase.

St Leonard's Church History Tours, 1pm to 4pm

History tour guides available to show you round one of the most historic and interesting buildings in Greater Manchester.

Littleborough slimmers pledge 5,000,000 steps for Cancer Research UK A group of Slimmers from Littleborough/Wardle and Rochdale are pledging to step up to the Walk All Over Cancer with Slimming World challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK this August.

Councillor John Blundell Local Advice Surgery, St Ann's Church, Firgrove & Smallbridge Library

John Blundell is a Labour Councillor for Smallbridge and Firgrove ward and he is available to give advice, discuss local issues and listen to your concerns

Wardle Village Fete & Dog Show, 11am - 3pm, Wardle Recreational Ground

The Flying Horse - Stax of Soul

Brentwood Middleton Day Centre is opening its doors to anyone who is interested in how the day centre works and what it has to offer.

Heywood Charities Fete & Parade

The theme for the Heywood Charities Fete this year is 'Book Titles'. The Carnival Parade sets from Sefton Street at 1.00pm near Heywood Train Station, and then along Manchester Street to Queens Park.

Middleton Craft & Food Market, 10.00am - 3.00pm, Middleton Masonic Hall

Incredible handmade products that are not available on the High Street - with some incredible and wonderful talented crafters from the area that's not available on the high street.
Free on-site car parking, free entry and refreshments.

Community Dog Show, 11am - 4pm, Railway Street Playing Field, Newhey
