Hare Hill House raises over £1000 for Macmillan

Date published: 07 October 2017

Hare Hill House hosted a Macmillan coffee morning on 30th September.

Lots of home baked cakes, pies and buns were available and the event proved very successful. The Mayor of Rochdale attended as well as local Councillors and members of the local community who now treat the house as their own by supporting events held there.

Organised by the Heroes of Hare Hill House the event also included a "Brave the Shave" and a "Trash the tash".

Volunteers Michael Bamford, Iain Bowden and Richard Simpson had their locks of hair shaved by local gents hairdresser, Louise Tierney.
The folically challenged Peter Reed could not take part and instead shave off the moustache he has sported for the past 45 years.

A provisional estimate of the total raised at the event is over £1000 and double last year's figure.

The organisers would like to extend their thanks to all who supported the event.
