Local business owners and community fundraisers, Mike and Debbie Goldrick have sponsored the Springhill Hospice Women of Rochdale luncheon with a donation of £1,250.

Goldrick Blinds have been a supporter of the event for many years and has continued to pledge its support again in 2024.

The Women of Rochdale Luncheon is organised by Springhill Hospice and returns this year to Rochdale Town Hall following its restoration and reopening. This year’s luncheon takes place on Friday 26 April.

The special annual luncheon brings women from across the borough together to celebrate their achievements within their communities, culminating in the winner being bestowed with the prestigious Woman of Rochdale Award Rose Bowl.

Vicki Barnett, corporate and partnerships fundraiser at Springhill Hospice said: “We have a really exciting event planned this year. We couldn’t hold these types of events without our supporters and I would like to say thank you to Mike and Debbie Goldrick for their generous donation and for once again sponsoring the event.”

Mel Caffrey (daughter of Mike and Debbie Goldrick) said, “We are delighted to be able to sponsor the event again and are glad to see it return to the Town Hall. It’s always a great feeling to know that we are able to support Springhill Hospice and the wonderful work they do for people across the borough.”

Nominations for the Woman of Rochdale are still open but nominations must be submitted by Monday 25 March 4pm.
