Reuse Littleborough supports local events with £5k grant
Reuse Littleborough have generously awarded Littleborough Events & Associations Forum with a five-thousand pound grant to support the organisation’s work within Littleborough. The gracious donation will contribute to the planning costs of the rest of the year’s events, as well as providing a comfortable starting point for 2027.
At the start of 2026, the future of LEAF was shaky at best due to a lack of volunteers and funding that made the workload unbearable for such a small team. Since then, LEAF has seen a surge in volunteers; this grant will work to further secure LEAF’s future.
“We are extremely grateful to Reuse Littleborough for this grant award,” says Chair of LEAF, Zoe Attwood. “This couldn’t have come at a better time and will fund our exciting new event in the park during the summer, our Christmas Lights Switch-On and give us a fund to work with for next year. It takes so much pressure off, as volunteers with day jobs, to not have to find funding.”
As part of their efforts to sustain other community projects, Reuse Littleborough periodically funds non-profits around Littleborough and beyond. Collaboration between non-profits is imperative to the success of a local community, and the volunteers at LEAF continue to stress their gratitude for Reuse Littleborough’s grant.
Thanks to the £5,000 awarded by Reuse, this year Littleborough will be sure to experience all of the events that it has grown to know and love.
