Littleborough Events and Associations Forum

The Littleborough Events and Associations Forum evolved between individuals interested in promoting Littleborough and the many events that take place here during the year.

Objective

There are many community groups in Littleborough, all of which have the best interests of the village at heart. The forum members felt that if those groups could come together and cooperate with each other on the organising of events and projects then the results could be much more effective than if groups worked separately. By combining our skills, expertise and contacts we could support and enhance each other’s efforts, avoid conflicts of dates and spread events across the diary.

The chief aim and objective of the members of LEAF is:

"To encourage and develop the participation, appreciation and education of the community of Littleborough in creative, cultural and recreational activities in the Littleborough area."

The group has a properly established constitution, chairman, vice-chair, treasurer and secretary.

Volunteers

LEAF consists entirely of volunteers.  We are a group of local people who want to make a difference to our town and help to make it a nice place to live.

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.

Current vacancies:
  • Stewards
Stewards are required at all our events to keep the public safe as well as set up and close down the events.

  • First Aiders
Keeping our event attendees safe is our priority and ensuring adequate First Aid cover is essential to ensure the event can go ahead safely.

Can you spare a little time to help us?

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please submit your details.
