The Summit Reopens Under New Management
Littleborough’s canalside favourite, The Summit, is officially reopening its doors this Friday 7th August at 12pm, bringing new life back to a much‑missed landmark on Todmorden Road.
The pub has been closed since February, but a fresh chapter begins this week as it’s now under the management team behind two hugely popular local venues - The Riva restaurant and Views Café at Hollingworth Lake. Their reputation for warm hospitality, quality food and a welcoming atmosphere has already sparked excitement among regulars and passers‑by alike.
With its enviable position beside the Rochdale Canal, The Summit has long been a favourite rest point for walkers, cyclists and boaters. The new team is keen to build on that tradition, making the pub a relaxed, friendly stop for anyone exploring the area.
The pub will be fully dog‑friendly, with staff ready to greet four‑legged visitors, and children are warmly welcomed, making it an easy choice for families enjoying a day out.
Although the kitchen won’t be serving food on opening day, the management has confirmed that a brand-new menu of great pub food is already in development and will be launching very soon. Given their track record at The Riva and Views Café, expectations are high for a strong mix of quality dishes and crowd‑pleasing favourites.
In the meantime, visitors can enjoy drinks, the refreshed interior, opening day entertainment, and the chance to be among the first to experience the pub’s new chapter.
The reopening marks a positive moment for Littleborough, restoring a well-loved venue and adding another strong hospitality offering to the area. Whether you’re stopping off mid‑walk or meeting friends for a drink, The Summit is ready to welcome you back.
