Police appeal for information following aggravated burglary
Officers are appealing for information following reports of an aggravated burglary on Todmorden Road, Littleborough on Sunday 2 November.
It is believed that at around 6am, a woman and man were approached by four men while outside a property, before being grabbed and threatened. It is reported that one of the men had a knife during the incident. The woman’s phone and keys were taken from her.
The suspects fled the scene on foot. However, due to the location of the offence it is believed that the offenders travelled in a vehicle.
One of the men is described as white, aged between 35-40 years old, with a skinny build, around 5’10ft. He was bald, with blue eyes and light stubble, wearing a thin Berghaus puffer jacket.
Another described as a man from a mixed ethnic background wearing a dark hooded jacket and baggy pants wearing a face covering.
The other two men were also wearing masks. They were wearing coats and jackets, with one described as being black and the other as having a large build.
Officers are additionally appealing for a witness that is believed to have seen the incident. He is described as a man in high visibility clothing, believed to have been driving a Blue Jaguar.
DC Connel Cunningham, from GMP's Rochdale district, said: "This was a terrifying experience for both the man and woman involved, and we are undertaking extensive enquiries to establish the full facts of what happened.
"No-one should be subjected to such a crime, and tackling burglaries and knife crime is a top force priority across GMP."
