Reflect on the Lancashire dialect at Ebor Studio in February.
Ebor Studio are thrilled to announce a unique project space led by Alison Cooper this February.
Alison will open a space dedicated to sonic collaboration, reflection, and discussions around the theme of endangered language, with a particular focus on the Lancashire dialect. The project will explore the relationship between language, ecosystems, a sense of place, and our connection to nature.
Open Afternoons

Drop by to engage with resources on Lancashire dialect and endangered languages, reflect, and contribute. You’ll also have the chance to bring along your own writing or poems to record and collaborate musically with Alison.
Project Closing Performance
- Sunday 23rd February
- 2–4pm (Doors at 1pm)
A reflective and immersive afternoon of sonic responses inspired by the project discussions and collaborations. Performances will feature Alison Cooper and friends, celebrating the themes of Lancashire dialect and creative expression.
