Wild Ginger Brings National Curry Award Home
Littleborough restaurant Wild Ginger has been crowned Regional Restaurant of the Year - North West at the prestigious Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards (ARTA), held at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
The annual ARTA event, often dubbed the “Oscars of the curry industry”, celebrates the very best of Asian cuisine across the UK, recognising excellence, creativity and community spirit in restaurants and takeaways nationwide.
Wild Ginger triumphed in the North West category, beating a host of strong contenders to bring the title home to Littleborough. The restaurant was praised for its innovative dishes, warm hospitality, and commitment to showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of British-Asian cooking.
In a statement shared after the ceremony, the Wild Ginger team said:

Wild Ginger has also announced plans to hold a celebration event in Littleborough, promising “food, music, and plenty of Wild Ginger magic” to mark the award win, with the date to be confirmed soon.
The victory puts Littleborough firmly on the culinary map, with Wild Ginger now officially recognised among the best Asian restaurants in the UK.
