Police Raise Concerns Over Rise in Anti-Social Behaviour Across the Pennines Township
Residents across the Pennines Township, including Littleborough, are being urged to stay vigilant following a reported increase in youth-related anti-social behaviour.
Local Neighbourhood Beat Officer PC Mahmood has highlighted growing concerns about incidents involving groups of young people, stressing that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and encouraging early engagement from parents, carers and the wider community.
PC Mahmood has asked parents to reflect on a number of important questions, including whether they know where their children are going at night, who they are spending time with, and whether they have regular contact while they are out. He also emphasised the importance of ensuring young people are safe and supported when spending time away from home.
Police are reminding residents that any instances of anti-social behaviour should be reported. Incidents can be logged by calling 101, using the Greater Manchester Police Live Chat service, or anonymously via CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
As part of efforts to address community concerns and improve communication, local police representatives will be available to speak directly with residents at Littleborough Library.
The informal drop-in session offers an opportunity for people to raise concerns, ask questions, and discuss issues affecting the local area.
