Bollards Installed on Hollingworth Road to Protect Grass Verges

Residents on Hollingworth Road had raised concerns about vehicles parking on the grass verges, which had become badly churned up and unsightly.

In response to the complaints, new bollards have now been installed along the verge to prevent cars from driving onto the grass and causing further damage.

The work was funded through Pennines Township funding from Rochdale Borough Council, which supports small local improvement projects suggested by councillors and residents.

Local councillors say the change should help keep the area looking tidier while protecting the verge from further damage caused by parking.
