Free Female-Only Bike Maintenance Workshop Coming to Littleborough

A welcoming new workshop in Littleborough is aiming to help women gain confidence and independence when it comes to looking after their bikes.

Hosted by The Endurance Hub, the free female-only bike maintenance session will take place on Saturday 28 March from 1pm to 3pm. The event is designed to create a relaxed and supportive space where participants can learn practical skills without any pressure or prior experience.

The hands-on workshop will cover essential topics to keep bikes safe and road-ready, including basic safety checks, how to properly maintain your bike, fixing a puncture, simple brake adjustments, and spotting potential issues before they turn into costly repairs.

Organisers say the session is open to women of all abilities, whether they are completely new to cycling, returning after time away, or simply looking to better understand how their bike works. All types of bikes are welcome, from road and gravel bikes to mountain, hybrid, and commuter models.

The female-only format has been chosen to help remove some of the barriers that can make bike maintenance feel intimidating, offering a comfortable and inclusive environment where attendees can learn at their own pace and ask questions freely.

The session will be run in a small group to keep it interactive and personal, led by an experienced workshop team. There’s no sales element involved - just practical learning - with tea and coffee available to keep things friendly and informal.

Spaces are limited to maintain the quality of the session, and early booking is encouraged. If demand is high, additional dates may be added in the future.

Anyone interested in attending can register via the event’s Facebook page.
