Burns and Brass Returns to St Andrew’s Church

A much-loved winter event is set to return to Littleborough later this month as Burns and Brass comes back to St Andrew’s Church, Dearnley, following the success of last year’s inaugural evening.

Taking place on Saturday 24 January, doors open at 7pm for a night that blends rousing brass band music with the warmth and celebration of a traditional Burns Night. The event is presented by St Andrew’s Church in partnership with the Littleborough Brass Bands Association.

The evening will feature live performances from Boro’ Brass and the Littleborough Brass Band, promising a lively programme inspired by Scottish music and brass band favourites. Alongside the music, attendees will be treated to a traditional Scottish supper of haggis, neeps and tatties, included in the ticket price.

Tickets cost £8, which includes supper, and free children’s tickets are available (advance booking required), making it an accessible and family-friendly event. A licensed bar will also be available on the night.

Organisers say the event is about more than just music and food, offering a welcoming community atmosphere and a chance for people of all ages to come together and celebrate Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.

With its combination of live brass music, traditional fare and a friendly local setting, Burns and Brass is shaping up to be a highlight of Littleborough’s January social calendar.
