Ebor Studio Awarded Pennine Townships Funding for New Creative Workshop Programme
Ebor Studio has secured a new grant from Pennine Townships, paving the way for a fresh series of hands‑on creative workshops that will launch later this year. The funding marks a significant boost for the studio’s mission to expand accessible arts opportunities within the community.
The programme will be led by Ebor member Lindsey James, founder of Violet Flamingo Bespoke, whose reputation for innovative textile work and sustainable fashion has made her a standout figure in the local creative scene.
Through the grant, Lindsey will deliver a programme of Upcycling and Sewing workshops, designed to help people develop practical skills, explore their creativity, and breathe new life into pre‑loved garments and materials. The sessions will focus on confidence‑building, sustainability, and the joy of making something unique with your own hands.
Ebor Studio confirmed that final logistics are currently being arranged, with full details, including dates, booking information, and how residents can get involved, to be released soon.
The announcement has already generated excitement among local makers, with the workshops expected to attract everyone from beginners to experienced sewists looking to try something new.
For now, the studio is encouraging the community to keep an eye out for updates and follow along as the project takes shape.
